Prevent Wildfires
Educating young people before a dangerous decision is made, not after.
SparkWhyz is a youth-led movement preventing fireworks-related wildfires through education, storytelling, school outreach, and community partnership.
Educating young people before a dangerous decision is made, not after.
Students leading students and inspiring their peers to make safer choices.
Working alongside firefighters, schools, families, businesses, and community leaders.
SparkWhyz began after a wildfire was started in Laguna Beach by a middle-school-aged boy using illegal fireworks.
Instead of asking only who was to blame, we asked a different question: what if someone had reached that student before he made the decision?
That question became the foundation of SparkWhyz.
